MamaTens has been specially designed to work for women in labour

The electrode pads and the MamaTens control unit are small and unobtrusive, allowing you to move around, as you need to.

The MamaTens stimulation programmes have been pre-set, so that you don't have to fiddle around with the controls. You can take MamaTens into hospital with you, or use it at home.

MamaTens will help you to relax and prepare for the birth of your baby, taking you right through labour, from the first contractions to delivery.

MamaTens is also useful after the birth, easing after-pains as your uterus contracts, and helping you to manage the discomfort of an episiotomy or tear.

When labour begins, your midwife or birth partner can attach the electrodes to your back, as shown in the picture. Plug the electrodes into your control unit and you are ready to begin using Mamatens. Positive effects can be felt immediately.

It has a user variable 'low-level' output for the relief of mild pain and a 'high-Ievel' output (known as Boost mode), for enhanced pain suppression during labour contractions.
